Successful Development of Breast Implant Distribution Model
Ideal Implant partners with Global Med Logistix and WebOps

ROSWELL, GA (October 31, 2017) — Ideal Implant, WebOps, and GlobalMed Logistix(GMLx) combined to successfully develop and prove the effectiveness of a new model for direct purchase of breast implants and delivery to health care providers. Plastic surgeons purchase the IDEAL IMPLANT® Structured Breast Implants on Ideal’s eCommerce website. Orders are sent directly to the GMLx warehouse via WebOps online integration system and shipped the same day. Implants arrive in time for scheduled surgery, eliminating the need for costly consignments.

To develop this just-in-time delivery model, Ideal Implant worked with WebOps and GMLx as partners to provide software, online integration and 3PL services. WebOps® Logistics Inventory Management Platform is integrated with the Ideal Implant eCommerce system to send orders directly to a GMLx warehouse for fulfillment.

Robert S Hamas, MD, CEO and President of Ideal Implant stated, “We chose WebOps as our partner prior to receiving FDA approval. Our partnership with them enabled us to get to market faster, with a high quality and innovative service for our plastic surgeon customers. In addition, we have already seen that WebOps and GMLx can easily scale up this distribution model as our sales grow, avoiding any service disruptions.”

“We have been thrilled with the innovative approach of Ideal Implant in bringing a new implant to market with a state-of-the-art distribution system. Plastic surgeons’ office staff report that the system is easy to use, from ordering directly on Ideal Implant’s website to selecting the FedEx delivery time they need for their surgery schedule, and orders are processed within minutes. This fully integrated distribution model from surgeon office order to delivery, incorporating inventory management, software and services, has created an order-to-cash cycle unparalleled in the market.” stated Al Payne, CEO, WebOps.

About Ideal Implant
Ideal Implant Incorporated was founded in 2006 to develop, manufacture and market a new, third type of breast implant, the IDEAL IMPLANT® Structured Breast Implant, which has advantages over both saline and silicone gel type implants. Its unique internal structure gives it a natural feel with only saline inside for safety and peace of mind. It contains no silicone gel, eliminating the risk of silent rupture. The company received FDA and Health Canada approval in 2014. The IDEAL IMPLANT is manufactured in the U.S. and is available through a Network of board certified and board-eligible plastic surgeons.
